The team, born from Lindsay being overbooked & reluctantly passing up opportunities - necessity’s a hell of a matchmaker.   In 2017, Hart and Homes was no longer a solo act.

Now 6 members—Alanie Woodin, Chelsey Smith, Jason Swaney, Karen Potter, Lindsay Hart, and Matthew McConnell—with a combined 60 years of experience have earned accolades, including the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement awards plus the RE/MAX 100% club and Titan Team award, & in 2025 the elite RE/MAX Diamond Club Award. 

Since it's inception, the team has successfully helped over 894 buyers & sellers, achieving a total sales volume of $169 million.

In the fall of 2018, Karen Potter, a well connected fixture in the community with incredible listening skills and customer service experience, approached Lindsay.  and in Jan of 2019 she joined the team and has excelled ever since. Karen has earned the RE/MAX Executive award 3 years in a row and in 2022 & 2024 & 2025 earned the 100% club award! Karen has discovered her talent and love for helping first time home buyers. Now in her 8th year of real estate she  

In January of 2019, after a year of admin support for the team, Chelsey Smith started her career as an agent.  5 years and dozens of clients later Chelsey has proven again that she has the skills and know how to market, sell and help clients buy property, all while getting involved with the industry at the local and state level. She earned the Executive club award in only her 3rd year in real estate and has broken a new plateau, earning the 100% club award in  4 years in a row -'22-'25! There is no challenge in real estate that Agent Smith cannot handle. 

We welcomed Ithaca NY local, Alanie Woodin to the Team in the summer of 2021. With 6 years of Ithaca property management and apartment/lease/renter experience, with a private company, under her belt, she knew that getting her license and helping people buy and sell was the next logical step. In 2022 Alanie proved this is the place for her as she earned the executive club award for her hard work and dedication in her first full year in real estate and continued in her 2nd year to earn the executive club award (2023).  In 2025 Alanie earned the coveted 100% club award!

After working at a cloud based brokerage for a year, Matthew McConnell wanted something more and he joined RE/MAX in the spring of 2024 with the intent on joining the Hart and Homes team one day. Seeing him excel, Lindsay approached him and and he was brought onto the team in November of 2024. His ambition and intellect, in the right environment, led him quickly to helping half a dozen clients and closing 6 transaction in just a few month and in 2025 he earned the distinguished RE/MAX Executive club award! 
Born near Lake Ontario in Sodus Point, NY, then in the later years of High School, Matthew moved to Trumansburg, NY.   He currently resides just outside of Trumansburg in Covert with his wife and 2 kids.

After practicing real estate for 20 years in Prince William County Virginia Jason Swaney told Lindsay he was returning home to Trumansburg and getting his NY real estate license. Naturally she said 'you aren't going anywhere except to this team,'  and so he joined the Hart and Homes team in Nov. of 2024. Throughout his career, Jason has been committed to providing exceptional customer service, guiding clients through every step of the real estate transaction process - this led him to earned the notable RE/MAX Executive club award in 2025. His dedication to honesty and integrity has fostered a strong base of repeat clients and referrals.
